Born in San Francisco, Kaffe Fassett settled in England in 1964. He developed his first fabric line in 1996 and later partnered with Rowan to create the Kaffe Fassett Fabric Collection, which debuts new designs every autumn. Kaffe is the author of numerous quilting books, including Quilts in Sweden, Quilts En Provence and Quilt Romance. He is known all over the world for his brilliant colour combinations and designs, in many forms of needlework as well as quilting. His quilts have featured in special exhibitions in many countries, and particularly at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
